Shandong EAA Super Energy Efficient Green Building Institute is a scientific and technological provincial company funded by Grünbau Technology Co., Ltd. The institute has established strategic partnership with Passive House Institute US (PHIUS), Swiss ICF, Austria and Germany ICF, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China. It hires senior foreign experts from the United States, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria to form a research and development team to carry out research on thermal insulation materials in an effort to build an international-level passive building system.

Under the charge of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Shandong Province, the institute main business scope includes new green building technology, new building material development and application, green building evaluation and certification, standards draft, economic evaluation, consulting services, and architectural design etc.

The institute always preserves the integrity of Constitution, laws, regulations and national policies, and abides by social ethics. It aims to build green development mechanism by incorporating the concept of green planning, green construction, green renewal, green management, and green life into its operation. Besides, it adopts a six-in-one industrial model of “policy, production, learning, research, application, and capital" to promote green building planning, design, and construction standards to further advance the development of pre-fabricated and passive buildings in China. Grünbau is vigorously gathering all relevant innovative elements to the architecture to expedite the development of green buildings in China.
