On 20th, September, 2020, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Jian government hosted a seminar on “Passive low-energy building ICF system" at Grünbau. The attendees include top architectural experts coming from Shandong or other provinces, Zhang Xiaoling, director of Beijing Kang-Ju Construction Parts Certification Center, Dr. Niu Ben and top managers from Grünbau: Chairman Zhao Li, General Manager Li Lei, Chief engineer John and General manager Assistant Ye Fei.

    Li and John respectively described the ICF history and its unique advantages compared to other traditional construction methods. Later, the group checked ICF sample house on site. They unanimously agree that this ICF system has the characteristics of energy-saving, environmental protection and will create a comfortable living environment for end users.

    Ye Fei presented in details ICF system from the technical and its standard perspective. He actively answered questions about ICF materials, its application and market potentials etc.

    The experts think that Grünbau has upgraded foreign technology which is relatively mature in western countries. Grünbau Formwork is totally compatible with our current national building norms while enjoying unique advantages of quick installation and cost-saving, which is especially suitable for remote areas or regions shortage of resources. This system will contribute a lot to the spread of passive house construction from technical aspect. To their conclusion, this system can be put into use as soon as possible to expedite the construction of passive houses in Jinan.
