On November 13rd, 2020, the 5th Shandong green building expo kicks off at Jinan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shandong province. After one week back from the 19th China Housing Expo held in Beijing, Grünbau was invited to participate in this exhibition along with its ICF system.

    The Expo is jointly hosted by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Shandong Province and the People’s Government of Jinan City, jointly sponsored by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Jinan City and frontrunner region of Jinan’s transformation of new and old kinetic energy. Taking “promote the green development in urban and rural areas and build a beautiful living environment " as its theme, the expo is comprised of 8 exhibition areas, featuring respectively smart life, environmental livability, beautiful villages, green construction, green building materials, technological innovation, and future cities. This Expo boasts the largest scale ever.

    Government officials, including Li Rusheng, chief engineer of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development;Ni Jiangbo, first Inspector of the Standards and Quota Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; 

Wang Yuzhi, Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development;Zhang Xiaohai, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Wang Jingwen, Deputy Mayor of Jinan Municipal People's Government;Chen Yong, Director of the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Urban-Rural and Housing Construction;With other government officials made their first stop at Grünbau booth after inspecting the development of green building in 16 regions of Jinan. Chairman Zhao Li, general manager Li Lei, and chief engineer John gave a detailed introduction to this EPS ICF system. Li Rusheng and the other government officials unanimously agreed that Grünbau has made bold attempts to advocate the green buildings and praised Grünbau great contribution in creating a comfortable living environment for building users.

    Li Guoxiang, director of Jinan New and Old Kinetic Energy Conversion Pilot Zone, Zhao Dejian, Deputy Mayor of Tai'an city, Xue Feng, chief engineer of China Railway 14th Bureau, Xu Baoting, party secretary of China Railway 14th Bureau Fourth Company, and Zhang Haiping, chairman of Jinan City Construction Group visited Grünbau booth later in the day and carried out in-depth exchanges on passive buildings and ICF system.

    Li Guoxiang said that Jinan new and old kinetic energy conversion pilot zone was set up catering to the Party's 19th national people congress spirit of green development. This zone will actively practice the new development concept of innovation, coordination, green, open, share to expedite the progress of green buildings in Jinan. Grünbau should take advantage of this favored policy and climate to strengthen its innovative capability, enhance its production capacity and expand its application in the market.

    Zhao Dejian said that Tai'an City is vigorously promoting the concept of green buildings and focusing on the upgrading of urban and rural construction models and development method to realize low energy-consumption in the building industry. Grünbau is welcome to Tai’an city to carry out technological discussions with other green building companies in Tai’an city.

    Xue Feng raised some technical questions from the perspective of the system itself and its construction. He thinks that Grünbau ICF has no roadblocks in its market application. However, the following questions should be taken into consideration: 1) construction cost issue; 2) Auxiliary parts coming along with ICF are available or not, such as interior decoration materials, doors, windows etc.; 3) do you have any specific ICF design institute and construction team? 

    With regard to windows and doors used on ICF, Grünbau partners with German companies whose production facilities are located in China. We believe that with more and more ICF brought to the market, the demand for these windows and doors will increasingly go up, which will accordingly drag down the prices of these windows and doors dramatically. ICF eliminates the step of wood-forming and wood form removal, and greatly reduces the use of wood, concrete and steel. The sample house in our booth was built in one and half hour by four people, just like Lego, which shows that it is quick installation and save manpower a lot.
